Cites of the Earth 3D Screensaver

Created cities.txt file in the same folder where the screensaver resides.
Added my home city Spokane Washington
Does not show up.

• Hi Paul,

  Seems to be working here. I think the line in cities.txt should probably be this:

  Spokane;United States;0.23;47.66;-117.43;Pacific Standard Time;

  Corresponding to the City Record format described here.

  What does your cities.txt currently look like?

• This is what the only line in the cities.txt file looks like:

  Spokane;Washington;0.3;47.73;117.44;Pacific Standard Time

  I just realized my city is probably there, but I forgot the minus!

  Fixed it and my city is now showing1

  Only question now is why does the earth rotate backwards?

  Shouldn't it rotate from east to west rather than west to east?

• That probably put Spokane somewhere in Inner Mongolia, China :-)

  As for the rotation, I suspect it's not so much planet Earth that we see rotating but that it's the viewpoint that changes. We're flying around Earth, as it were.
