Screensaver only works when I have the clock on.

Hi there,

I'm super stoked on this screensaver, but it only works on my macbook pro if I have the clock on. Please fix this. This screensaver is super rad, but the clock is obstructive. I'm running this on a 2017 macbook pro and a mac mini from 2014.

The screensaver works without the clock display on the mac mini from 2014.

The problem is that this screensaver doesn't work on my 2017 macbook pro, unless I have the clock displayed. I want this screensaver to work without the clock display. Thanks!

  • Hello David,

Thanks for posting. This seems to be a bug in macOS High Sierra. Some have reported that the issue is fixed in macOS version 10.13.4, and it looks like you are running version 10.13. Please visit the Updates page of the App Store, the 10.13.4 update should be available to you. Hopefully that update fixes this for you as well!

  • Hi Rob,

My last message was on my mac mini running 10.13. The screensaver runs fine on my mac mini.

It's the MacBook Pro I'm on right now where I have to have the clock on in order for the screensaver to work, and this computer is up to date. I'm running 10.14.
    Please advise.

  • Hello David,

It seems to be a problem only for some Macs. I have a Macbook Pro running macOS 10.13.4 and the screensaver works well regardless of the clock setting.

As far as I can tell, there's currently no solution available. We may just have to wait for another update to macOS (or the screensaver) to solve this issue.

Sorry I can't be of more help!
