Screensaver password

Hi, I'm looking for a screensaver with a self-set password to exit the screensaver (not the Windows user password).
This is for systems in a public environment (we don't want to give the WIndows passwords to the users)..

  • Hello Johan,

I've seen that feature in a few screensavers, but can't seem to find any in the archive right now. And screensavers aren't really built to do this sort of thing reliably, so any password protection from within a screensaver is probably going to be easy to circumvent, for example by using the key combination Control+Alt+Delete and then stopping the screensaver from the Task Manager.

Have a look at Lock My PC, a (free) utility for Windows that can lock the screen and ask for a password. It has a feature that allows it to lock the computer after a period of inactivity, just like a screensaver.

    Hope that helps.

  • Hi Rob, Thanks for your reply!

I will look at the "Lock My PC" link..
I switched off the Taskmanager for the systems, Control-alt-delete will only give a user logoff function.
I any knows a screensaver with this function, please let me know.

    Greetings Johan
