Your living Marine Aquarium did not work, so I loaded you "" FIX "" which messed up my registry and now I have runtime errors!!

Whenever you tried to get the screensaver to come ON, it blew up and you got a rumtime error.

I did not save registry before I did your registry fix as I did not expect you to blow up my registry over an aquarium screensaver.

How do I uninstall this and get my registry back please??

  • Hello Tim,

    I'm sorry to learn you're having trouble with the screensaver and registry fix. However, the fix is very unlikely to be the cause of the runtime errors you're seeing.

    While installing the screensaver, did you allow your system to be tested to automatically detect the optimal settings? If not, then that may result in a runtime error. This is listed as Known Issue #2 in the screensaver's description here.

    Unfortunately, since support for Flash has been removed from Windows in January, the screensaver's settings panel no longer works (Known Issue #3), so you cannot launch the test from there. To run the testing program, use the File Explorer to browse to the following folder, then double-click the PTest application:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Freeze.com\Living Marine Aquarium 2 Full

    Once that program has run, try starting the screensaver again.

    The registry item that was added with the .reg file does no harm, but if you still wish to delete it, open the Registry Editor (type its name in the Start menu), and then browse to the following key or copy its address into the bar at the top:
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}

    You can then right-click the {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000} key in the left panel of the Registry Editor and select "Delete" to remove it.

    Hope that helps.
