When I boot up my laptop an image appears before I login to my laptop. Sometimes the image is so compelling that I want to know where the place is
How do I find the image that appears on my screen when I turn on my laptop? They are always photographs and sometimes unique and compelling landscapes.

Hello Megan,
When you turn on your laptop, Windows will open with the Lock Screen. This is where you select the account to log in with and enter a password (if required).
The background image of the Lock Screen changes frequently, and is selected based on your preferences. There should be a "Like what you see?" link somewhere in the top right corner of the Lock Screen. If you click that, it will show you the location where the photo was taken. You can also select "I like it!" or "Not a fan" to teach Windows what sort of photos you like to see. Note that if you click any of those options, the current background will instantly be replaced by another one.
Hope that answers your question. If you want to find an image previously shown in the Lock Screen, please refer to this earlier post on the message board.
