3D Earth
A 3D screensaver with an animated view of planet earth as seen from space, with a visible atmosperhic layer around it, and the moon shown in the distance. As in reality, the position of the sun determines the lighting of the globe. The current time is displayed digitally at the bottom right, in either a 12-hour or 24-hour format, though it can also be hidden entirely.

Installation instructions
Microsoft Windows
- Start the install program by double-clicking the 3dearth.exe file, then click "Next" to continue.
- Indicate whether you accept the agreement, then click "Next" through the first three screens, and finally click "Install" to begin installing the screensaver.
- When installation has completed, the screensaver developer's website may be opened in your web browser. Feel free to close this at your convenience. The Screen Saver Settings panel has also been opened, and "Free 3D Earth Screensaver" should be selected as your current screensaver.

locks up you screens and you have to do a ctrl+alt+del to open task manager to shut it down
Screensavers Planet: We re-tested the screensaver and found that it exited cleanly when we clicked a mouse button or pressed a key on the keyboard. If the behavior persists, please try a search for "earth 3d" here to find alternative screensavers.
