Marquee Plus
Marquee Plus is similar to the classic Scrolling Marquee screensaver, but with a few extra features. You can customize the text of the marquee, along with its size, color and speed, and have it moving through the screen either horizontally or at an angle. Other extras include the ability to show the current date and time, or a custom countdown to a day and time of your choosing, such as the new year, Christmas, or your retirement or next vacation.

banger screensaver
It's an improvement on the original Marquee, and still (Jan 2012) works on a current version of Windows 10. A more recent version (and registration to unlock Extras) are available from the makers - I had to do a web search for the name, their URI has changed.
