Fireworks shot up from a football field light up the night sky over a city in this highly customizable screensaver. The camera actively hovers through the colorful explosions under the clouds and stars. The maximum number of rockets, as well as the wind speed, star density, amount of ambient light and other settings can be customized to your preference.

Installation instructions
Microsoft Windows
- Open the skyrocket-win.zip file and double-click the "oalinst" application file to install the required OpenAL plug-in.
- Click "OK" if you accept the terms of the license agreement, then click "OK" again to exit the installer.
- Now copy the "Skyrocket" screensaver file to the Windows folder on your hard drive, then right-click it and select "Install".
Apple Mac OS X
- Double-click the file you downloaded to mount it, then double-click on the "Skyrocket.save" file that appears among other files in a new window.
- You will be asked whether you want to install the screensaver for all users or only for the current user. If you're not sure, the default setting should be fine.
- The "Desktop & Screen Saver" panel will automatically open, allowing you to select the newly installed "Skyrocket" screensaver.

I LOVE this screensaver, especially the black hole easter egg that goes off. I keep watching for it.

This screensaver is incredibly awesome and breathtaking. It is highly customisable and realistic. It works perfectly on my M1 macbook.
I have this on an old ubuntu box and on my M$
I have XSCREEENSAVER on my Pi4, and I want to add SKYROCKET.scr
How can I add it? I've been searching for instructions from time to time on how to do it for a couple years, xscreensaver help files faqs and manual have nothing about adding any screensavers except adding the bundled extra xscreensavers...

To the commenter who said it doesn't work on El Capitan... It definitely does work. I'm running OS10.11.6 and it works great. I clicked on the app and it asked if it wanted to install and I said yes and that was it.
