Installation instructions

For Microsoft Windows computers:

  1. Double-click on the file you have downloaded to bring up the setup prompt, "This will install World of Castles Screensaver. Do you wish to continue?" and click "Yes".
  2. Click "Next", followed by "Yes" if you agree to the license terms presented. Now click "Install".
    • If you are now given notice that "An error occured while trying to rename a file in the destination directory", you may have to re-initiate the installation with elevated access rights. Click "Abort" first to quit the setup program, then if the Program Compatibility Assistant appears, click "Restart the program as an administrator". If it the Assistant does not pop up, locate the worldofcastles.exe file in your downloads folder, right-click on it, and select "Run as administrator".
  3. After a few seconds, the program will have finished installing the screensaver. Click "Finish" to exit the program. You should now be able to find "World of Castles" among your other screensavers.
